Global health
·ÛºìÅ®ÀÉ aims to build the capacity of the O&G workforce in Pacific Island countries through support for training, education and research.
·ÛºìÅ®ÀÉ, members and trainees contribute to women’s health around the world. They have worked or continue to work in 50 countries outside of Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand, supporting global women’s health via workforce capacity building, providing clinical care, screening, health promotion, and development of guidelines.
What we do
We support Pacific O&G trainees and specialists by:
offering ·ÛºìÅ®ÀÉ Affiliate Membership to Pacific O&G specialists
providing access to ·ÛºìÅ®ÀÉ resources and scholarships
working in collaboration with local, regional and international partners, including Pacific Medical Schools, O&G Societies and Ministries of Health, Medical Colleges within Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand, and non-government organisations working in the Pacific
raising awareness about global women’s health issues
We provide resources, scholarships, networking and research support for the O&G training programs at the University of Papua New Guinea School of Medicine and Health Sciences, and the Fiji National University College of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences.

We also support Fellows and trainees from Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand to participate in international O&G conferences, and further their career goals with travel funding.

Our private Global Health Facebook is open to Pacific Affiliate members, Pacific O&G trainees, as well as members and trainees based in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.
The group provides O&G clinicians across the Pacific, Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand the opportunity to engage with each other, share information, and participate in discussions in a supportive environment.
